A few more Feathers in Woodfords cap

Woodford claimed Feather Awards for Best Car Rental at OR Tambo International, King Shaka International and Cape Town International – three of the four airports from which Woodford operates – confirming the company as an emerging powerhouse in the industry.

The Woodford Group has seen a crowning moment in its phenomenal rise in the highly competitive car rental market, as the Airports Company of South Africa (ACSA) last month announced the winners of its annual Feather Awards.

Woodford claimed Feather Awards for Best Car Rental at OR Tambo International, King Shaka International and Cape Town International – three of the four airports from which Woodford operates – confirming the company as an emerging powerhouse in the industry.

“Winning these awards has been humbling for us at Woodford, because it shows how far we’ve come and the tremendous work the team has put in,” says Essa Suleman, Operations Director of the Woodford Group. “What pleases me most is that our constant quest for service excellence has translated into what customers encounter from every member of the Woodford family at every level and every location – especially the airport, which is the first point of contact for travellers experiencing South Africa.”

The awards programme acknowledges the efforts of service providers at each of ACSA’s airports and celebrates companies that have demonstrated outstanding service. Winners are chosen based on customer perception-based surveys conducted during the year, and give an indication of the contribution of stakeholders in making the airport and transport system more efficient across the country.

As a company committed to nurturing the tourism industry, Woodford sees the awards as a bonus when it comes to servicing the needs of its customers, on and off the road.

“While we are grateful and proud to receive these awards, it serves more as a motivational tool than a trophy – we’d like to keep offering the best deals to our customers and continue giving them flexible, dedicated, and unparalleled service,” says Mr. Suleman.

The Feather Awards has also been billed by ACSA as a recognition of the partnerships that have been built in the travel industry, a facet of business that Woodford seeing as vital to the success of the company.

“After more than twenty years of service, this is really just the start for us. We plan to take what is already a strong product to new heights,” says Mr. Suleman. “Having built lasting relationships with ACSA and leading partners in the industry, Woodford is becoming the car rental service that more and more people are switching to – and we’re more than happy to welcome them into the Woodford family.”
